The anthropologist Eric Crubezy has made a sensational discovery in the
permafrost of Yakutia, in eastern Siberia: he has dug up the body of a
woman in a wooden casket, surrounded by offerings. Given the
characteristics of the burial site and the grave goods, Crubezy believes
that it is a shaman of the town of the Yakuts.
