Chambord: the castle, the king and the architect

Chambord Castle is one of the most reputable of heritage sites in the Loire Valley, France. Some of the keys points to its construction have remained unresolved for almost 500 years. Little is known, to date, of its origins and the meaning of its unusual architecture. Maybe Leondardo da Vinci, who settled in the region on the request of King Francis I, had something to do with its individual design? Research, including updated technology and archaeological excavations, will present new answers.
