An archaeological excavation, formed by an international team,
brings back to life the temple of Amenhotep III in Luxor, one of the most
impressive assemblages of the times of the Egyptian pharaohs. The Colossi of
Memnon that marked the entrance of the complex were already known, but as the
work was carried out they discovered monumental-sized sculptures, more than a
hundred representations of Sekhmet, the lioness goddess, sphinxes, royal
statues and many other wonders.
