Tuvixeddu is the largest Punic necropolis in the Mediterranean. What remains of the Necropolis is only a
fragment of beauty that has survived the abuses of
time, history and builders. It is a cemetery where one
has the impression that it is night even during the day.
Eternal ghosts, like evicted tenants, tell this drama:
whispers and cries of this fleetingness. And they make
the verses taken from "La sera del dì di festa" by Giacomo Leopardi: “and think how everything in the world
passes and almost leaves no trace".
