Narbo Martius, the daughter of Rome

Narbo Martius, the ancient city of Narbonne in the French region of Aude,
has been slightly forgotten by our history books. And with good reason!
The majority of its vestiges are not visible, unlike the cities of Nîmes
and Arles. However, it was the first capital of Gaul, founded by Rome
in 118 B.C. and called “the daughter of Rome”. For the first time, this
documentary reveals to us one of the most important cities of the Roman
Empire, which was also the second port of Antiquity, after that of Rome.
Archaeologists have spent 25 years making extraordinary new finds.
