Hunters & fishers of the North: Stone Age life in coastal Norway

The west coast of Norway is an archipelago rich in marine resources. For this reason, it was an especially attractive habitat during most of Prehistory, especially in the Palaeolithic and Neolithic eras. Preventive excavations in the area have made it possible to recover some of these settlements and reconstruct the changes in the coastline, after the last glaciations.
