Alhambra. The lost paradise

Alhambra! From the outside, it looks like an austere fortress: two thousand metres of walls and towers atop a hill overlooking the city of Granada! Inside, it offers a setting unique in the world: the buildings constructed between the 13th and 15th centuries for the residence, exercise of power and leisure of the last of Spain's sultans. Faced with the threat of their demise, they chose to make their mark by pushing the refinements of their art to the limit. And by creating a series of fabulous palaces whose reflections flicker in the pools that crawl at their feet. The film tells the story of this paradise, its reasons, its secrets and its passage through time.
