On the occasion of the opening of new rooms in the
Louvre museum, devoted to the Eastern Mediterranean during the Roman Empire, a documentalist became enraptured by a
mysterious treasure. Towards the end of the 19th century, the
Parisian museum carried out research on a set of Coptic mummies and a
collection of fabrics, which this documentary revives, contributing new and
interesting data about the mummification processes of Egypt’s early
Christians.
